I replaced the original brake on my C39v2 with the Titan and the performance benefits are undeniable. With the Titan installed, the muzzle movement and recoil is absolutely minimal and it is significantly easier to stay on, or near, target for quicker follow up shots. The Titan makes the gun blast more substantial, which shouldn't effect the shooter, but people next to you at the range will certainly feel it. The Titan didn't come with a crush washer, so be sure to order one separately as you will need it for install.
First things first: I have not yet had a chance to fire my AK since installing this brake, so this review will, at this time, only cover the fit, finish, and installation of the product.
In any event, the brake is well machined with no noticeable (external) machining marks visible. The finish is nice and even, and looks great. My only beef with it is that it does not have a notch for the indexing pin that is located in the AK front sight, so I ended up giving my machinist a few bucks to put a notch in it (this is why I knocked a star off).
All of that being said, it seems that I have used up all my luck for the year... as I was installing this brake on my gun, juuuuuuust as it was getting to the point of being as tight as I could get it by hand, the indexing pin was *almost* able to seat into the notch that my machinist cut in the brake. One last little "oomph", and it clicked in place. What a great fit!
I will post an update with my impressions once I get a chance to take the gun out and feel the brake in action.
