SJC Heavy Brass Magwell, 3 1/2 times heavier than our regular aluminum magwells. 8.7oz for Glock models.
Provides faster reloads, consistent hand/grip positioning, and significant recoil control.
SJC Glock Mag Wells still allow the use of stock magazine base pads, but the M&P model requires a base pad extenion. Gen 4 grip panels must be modified at their bottom edge if used. SJC Recommends the use of Arrendondo base pads for both the Glock and M&P models. Current models are coated in black oxide but may have small blemishes that show through, spray paint can be easily used for complete coverage if desired.

I have installed Heavy mag wells on both our glock 24's. We love these mag well's from the extra weight to the large size which not only ensures hand placement but also makes confident re-loading.
I have installed the heavy mag wells on two M&P's; one 5" Limited Class, and one on a 4" Open class for shooting steel. I had no issues with the fit and retention is great! The mag well sucks up magazines like it's a vacuum cleaner! It spoils the shooter!
First off, This magwell is heavy! Secondly, its huge, impossible to miss while reloading. Now for the negative... The TTI basepads don't fit without modification. Major grinding and sanding down was needed in order for it to fit. Also to note, of you want to use a backstrap with the Gen 4. You have to fit and cut the backstrap for it to fit.... This is a good magwell but you have to do some work to make it work with the backstraps and TTI basepads.
I originally watched a 3 video series on You Tube about this magwell. On the series it stated the mags did not drop free and the guy did a great job of explaining how to fix the issue. SJC must have upgraded the magwell since the vids came out... the fit and finish is perfect. The magwell sits perfectly, the magazines drop free, and it does assist with a better and more consistent purchase and with recoil. I also found that it does work great with Pearce magazine extensions (3 additional rounds) although if a competitor I recommend the additional 2 rounds you get with the +5 Arredondo pads. All in all a great product.
I have a Seattle Slug and a Heavy Dawson. This is the heaviest option out there. Arrendondo and Taylor Freelance mag extension work well, no issues in loading these mags.
Installation is simple and quick. This does add quite a bit of weight to the bottom of the gun, and it keeps my hand exactly where it should be each time I draw my pistol. Only minor request is that the screw that comes with the weight is stainless. Would have liked to have a black or anodized one to match the weight but this is just cosmetic and easily fixed.
