Carbon Steel black oxided Titan Compensator by SJC in .223 (5.56mm/22 cal). Titan compensators have been designed and developed with the input and testing of Grand Master Eric Lund to provide a significant competitive advantage for 3-gun competition. However, the benefits to the hunting rifle and pistol make those heavy boomers fun to shoot again. The 223/5.56 Titan Comps can be used on barrels threaded 1/2" 28 t.p.i. Additionally, we find that Titan compensators work great on calibers smaller that the advertised model. They blend smoothly into standard 0.750" barrels, but machining the comp's shoulder can blend heavier profile barrels. When they are in stock, we will include a free include shim kit to make your install as easy as possible. The Titans are three gun limited and open divisions legal, and add 2 3/4" to your barrel length. The OD is 0.980".

You won't be disappointed in the performance of this Compensator. The reduction is GREAT!! The look is IMPRESSIVE on my AR-15. This is the 2nd one I have bought from S&J Customs. The MUZZLE FLIP is NON -EXISTENT and the RECOIL is VIRTUALLY NOT THERE. I do get attention to the people on my right and left, if they are very close, that the CONCUSSION is very hard for a 5.56 rifle. After I let them shoot it, they say "WOW what is the MUZZLE BRAKE I am using, and I say it is the "SJC TITAN COMPENSATOR. They ask what it cost and when I tell them, they are really impressed. I ALWAYS tell people at the rang, when I'm shooting and they ask me about the Muzzle Brake, I tell them where to get one for their rifle or pistol. Thanks to John Steave for a GREAT COMPENSATOR!!!

Revision to my earlier comments. After another range firing and a day of fun, I will say there waws a difference in the recoil, however on my last comment about it being about 30% was a little wrong. When I shot the last time, I should have mentioned that I was commenting on the recoil of the flash hider/muzzle brake that came on my Ruger ar-15 in 5.56. The difference without the muzzle brake and with the Titan Compensator was about 70% better recoil and about 40% louder than the stock muzzle brake. I am Happy with my purchase and will be getting one for my 338 Lapua, when I can.

Excellent choice. I built a lightweight field gun and was not grouping as well as my heavier bench type ARs. Helped close my groups to MOA at 100 yds with the reduced recoil, also enabled quicker follow up shots with the reduced muzzle jump. If you forget ear protection on the first shot you won't forget again.

My son who bought me a lower for Christmas made it a point to be home when my upper arrived. We shot several rounds with the Flash hider that came with the upper. I then showed him that I had purchased the Titan. We installed it and the result was incredible. I think that he will be purchasing one soon.

SJC Titan is a winner
SJC Titan's superior design produces superior results. Mounted on my 5.56, recoil from 62 gr rounds has been dramatically reduced, and recoil from 55 gr rounds has been almost entirely eliminated. The supplied shim kit makes installation easy. The SJC Titan is now a permanent part of my favorite AR and I will be buying one for my backup unit. I highly recommend the SJC Titan.
