LS SS Guide Rod (non captured)

I use a G17 gen 3, with Burris fast fire III, and a KKM match barrel with compensator. Factory weight spring was to much for these upgrades. I tried slightly lighter springs, first with 15# with poor performance issues, I then switched to a 13# spring and had good performance but noticed when the spent casing was ejected it didn't come out far at all. I decided on this spring and rod and feel after testing that I found what I needed to work well. I think this spring is to light to use with standard factory ammo. I reload and have no issues using low end powder specs from the reloading data, slide cycles really well and have no issues at this point in time. Thanks for a great working product. Just be careful installing spring and rod, they can go flying.

The first time I installed the rod, it was a bit of entertainment for friends to watch. However a bit of practice and it fits right in. No issues and allows me to change spring weights quickly and easily.
